:: Call on God’s name for help by reading: Matthew 11:28-30

And praying:

“Our Father, with the Psalmist we lift up our eyes to the hills and we cry: Where does our help come from? And we confess that our help comes from you O Lord, who made heaven and earth. You will not let our foot be moved; you who keep us will not slumber. Behold, you who are the keeper of you people will neither slumber nor sleep. You, Lord, are our keeper; the shade on our right hand. The sun shall not stike us by day, nor the moon by night. You, heavenly father will keep us from all evil; you will keep our life. Your Father, Son and Holy Spirit, will keep our going out and our coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” Amen. (adapted from Psalm 121)

:: Sing or read: Psalm 19 (p19A) (please see here for tune)

:: Corporate confession of Faith: Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He endured the sufferings of hell. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

*The word “catholic” refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

:: Sing or read: Doxology – Gloria Patri (please see tune here)

and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen, amen.
