‘Justification by faith’ conference in Cape Town in June 2025

Save the dates! RCSS and African Reformed Churches (ARC) will be hosting a conference with the theme “Justification by faith” in Cape Town, South Africa on 20 and 21 June 2025. The confirmed speakers at the conference are Rev. Dr Dan Borvan, Dr. James Berry, and Rev. Dr. David Noe.

Rev. Dr. Dan Borvan is pastor of preaching at Christ Reformed Church (URCNA). He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Seminary California and a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology from Oxford University in England. He is chairman of the Heidelberg Reformation Association and a member of the African Reformed Churches (ARC) steering committee. He co-hosts Abounding Grace Radio with Rev. Chris Gordon.

Dr. James Berry is Professor and Chair of the Department of Behavioural Medicine and Psychiatry at West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Director of Addictions. He is board-certified in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He is a Ruling Elder of Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC). Dr. Berry seeks to help Christians understand addiction from biological, psychological, social, and spiritual perspectives.

Rev Dr. David Noe is an adjunct of Puritan Reformed Seminary with a PhD in Classics from the University of Iowa, having served on the faculty of Calvin University, where he chaired the philosophy department. He currently pastors Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids and serves on various ecclesiastical committees. Rev. Noe is the translator of numerous works from the 16th and 17th centuries, is Latin editor for the Confessional Presbyterian Journal, and supplies online resources in Latin, Greek, and Classics.
